The Wedding Edit 2015

Hello everybody!

We’ve got a very exciting post to share with you today…  our fabulous event ‘The Wedding Edit’ which was held last Sunday 18th October at our total home from home Styal Lodge in Cheshire! You might recognise it from lots of our previous events… we do love it there if you hadn’t already noticed!;o)

‘The Wedding Edit’ was launched last year as a way of showcasing our brand new dress collections to our brides, and to introduce you to a host of handpicked wedding suppliers who we are lucky to call our friends. We had such an amazing day and our brides loved it so much we decided to do it all over again…

Here’s a look at the event, if you didn’t make it, well you sure did miss a treat ;o) but don’t worry this is an annual event so we promise we will be doing it all over again next Autumn too!

In no particular order, we’d like to say a huge thanks to…

Siân, Steve, Sarah and the team from The Flower Lounge for dressing Styal Lodge with the most fabulous flowers hanging from beams, decorating our catwalk and their beautiful display stand, not to mention *THOSE* incredible bouquets!

Andy Murphy DJ for being a fabulous compère and playing THE BEST mix of tunes, including organising our catwalk music :o)

Keeley and the team from Top Table Weddings and Events for the most amazing canapés and looking after everyone so wonderfully

Charlotte Mills for bringing her full collection of shoes on the most amazing ladder display and providing the shoes for our catwalk show

Donna Crain for bringing an array of beautiful accessories for our brides to swoon over and for us to use on our catwalk show

The Word Is Love for the fabulous light up Love letters in all forms, not to mention their brand new ‘Floral Love’ which looked absolutely stunning and made for a fabulous photo with our gorgeous models!

Gavin and The RUSH band for entertaining us so fantastically

Francesca and Ian from The Cheshire Cat Cake Company for their usual stunning display of sweet treats, amazing macarons for our goody bags and plying our brides with cakes throughout the day!

Forever Photobooths for keeping us entertained with their Photobooth and a fabulous mix of funny props!

Hipswing for our catwalk set up, The Wedding Edit hologram and their fab display complete with fancy dance floor and everything!

Paisley Gamble Hair Stylist and the team from Jane Alexandra Hairdressing for amazing hair creations for the catwalk and on our lucky brides-to-be

Gemma Hallowell MUA for stunning make-up on our models and on our brides-to be

Emma from Special Days for the fabulous draping in the windows, around the Lodge and the hanging lanterns too

Georgia from Pompadour Lingerie for bringing her gorgeous selection of garters, bridal lingerie and scented candles

And of course Barney from the amazing Gilpin Hotel and Lake House for coming to our event, and providing us with the most amazing prize for our competition. Huge congratulations to the lovely Rachel Gill who won the spectacular prize of a 2 night stay in their brand new Spa Suites with so many other goodies to enjoy whilst they are there too. Barney also surprised us with another prize of a dinner for 2 in their superb restaurant… congratulations to Kendal Roberts on winning this! I’m not jealous at all of these ladies… much ;o)

Wow what an event! Thanks so much to our gorgeous brides-to-be and their family and friends for joining us and making it such a special day!

We also have a superb backstage crew of amazing friends who helped to make sure that this event ran as smoothly as it possibly could – thanks to our lovely Clare, Lisa, Kate, Ant, and of course Jonny for the organisation and running of the event. Our fantastic models Ailsa, Nat, Izzy, Sarah and Akvilé for wearing our dresses so beautifully. Ailsa who is also known as Ailsa Baker Dance for our catwalk choreography and those incredible dances (and the most elegant splitz I ever did see) during the show!

Thanks to Jonny aka Jonny Draper Photography too for literally driving the organisation of the event and making sure everyone knew what they were doing…and keeping me calm! And obviously for taking these incredible photos as a beautiful momentoe of the day.

Finally the biggest thanks to the amazing Higham family – Sarah, Rich, Poppy, Georgie and Franny for letting us take over Styal Lodge for the day and for all their help in making it such a great success!

Looking forward to our next one already!;o)
Lots and lots of love,

Emma xoxo
