Well, as it’s Friday and nearly weekend, it’s time for a bit of dreamy reminiscing about a fabulous event we were involved in a couple of weeks ago…
We had the great honour of being asked by the lovely Hannah and Laura from Wedding Link (who host the most amazing wedding events!) to put on the catwalk show for the Capesthorne Hall Wedding Fayre and we jumped at the chance! So, after weeks of preparation and facing that very difficult decision of which dresses we should take to show off to all the brides-to-be, we arrived early on the Sunday morning to set up our stand and get our beautiful models in to hair and make-up! We were extremely privileged to have the very fabulous make-up artist, Gemma Hallowell, and extremely talented hair stylist Paisley with her lovely assistant, Ayshea, from Macleod Bradley working with us at this event. Seriously ladies, if you are looking for a make-up artist and hair stylist for your big day then look no further than these lovely ladies! They truly are fab and the proof is definitely in the pudding. Our gorgeous girls, Ailsa, Liv, Natalie and Sarah looked just divine as you will see in these pics, taken by none other than my lovely husband and professional wedding photographer, Jonny Draper.
Whilst Gemma is finishing off Liv’s make-up we start getting the girls in their dresses ready for the big show! Loving the rocking horse in the foreground, Capesthorne sure is a treasure trove of amazing antique pieces!
And so the catwalk show begins! Ailsa is in ‘Monaco’ by Heritage Bridal (above top left and right), Natalie in ‘Sicily’ by Heritage Bridal (below left) and Sarah in our lovely tea-length ‘Glitterball’ by Terry Fox (below right).
Liv completely wowed our guests with ‘Adelphi’ by Intuzuri (above top left and right) and so did Natalie in ‘Secret Garden’ by Terry Fox (below left) and Liv again in ‘Andrea’ by Intuzuri (below right).
Natalie wearing ‘Secret Garden’ by Terry Fox and Liv wearing ‘Andrea’ by Intuzuri (top left), Liv wearing ‘Andrea’ again, and Sarah wearing ‘Hollywood’ by Heritage Bridal (top right and below left). The gorgeous Ailsa wearing ‘Amber’ by Intuzuri (below right)
And for our finale, this gown definitely drew some gasps – the very fabulous ‘Above The Clouds’ by Terry Fox!
As part of the Wedding Fayre, it is typical to show guests how a civil ceremony would run… and our gorgeous Sarah volunteered straight away to be the ‘bride’! Oh, and Jonny’s dad, Pete, also made a guest appearance as ‘father of the bride’! Brilliant!
Sarah being ‘given away’ wearing the stunning ‘Anastasia’ by Mia Mia, and with the very lucky ‘groom’!
What a fabulous venue for a wedding, so beautiful and intimate, not to mention completely wow from the moment you drive up the very grand driveway to Capesthorne Hall.
A huge thanks to everyone involved on the day, including Wedding Link and all the staff at Capesthorne Hall who organised a fabulous event, my lovely sister Lisa who greeted guests at our stand and helped change our girls into their dresses, my bestest friend Betty who was chief backstage organiser and dresser, and Jonny’s mum, the lovely Chris who joined us backstage in helping dress our models. Not to mention Pete, Jonny’s dad for being ‘father of the bride’! Oh, and I suppose Jonny too for taking these wonderful photos ;o)
Gemma Hallowell was our make-up artist for the day and she created some amazing bridal looks working hand in hand with Paisley the very talented hair stylist from Macleod Bradley, they both worked hard to tailor the looks to the dresses and of course to our individual models and the results were amazing. Our guests thought so too, as straight after the catwalk show Gemma and Paisley were inundated with enquiries and questions!
And last but certainly not least, a huge thanks to our lovely models for the day – Ailsa, Liv, Natalie and Sarah who were all amazing, looked fabulous and threw some serious shapes on the catwalk! Thanks ladies you were wonderful!
Part 2 of this amazing event coming very soon with some seriously AMAZING images!
Lots of love, Emma ♥♥♥
