Love Bridal Boutique – Styal Lodge shoot

Well, it’s been a little while since our first blog post but as you might have gathered a lot has happened over the last few weeks, so here is the first of many posts updating you on what we’ve been up to!

Some of you may remember seeing some pics from our very first shoot at Styal Lodge on English Wedding Blog to launch the boutique and showcase our fabulous collection of wedding gowns, so I thought that this would be the best place to start.

When we were thinking of ideas to launch the boutique, the most obvious and only answer was to do a shoot, a great way to connect our two businesses – Jonny Draper Photography and Love Bridal Boutique. And where would we do it? Well, Jonny and I have built up a great relationship with the lovely Higham family from Styal Lodge over the past few years and we absolutely adore the Lodge as a venue, a complete blank canvas for brides and grooms to make it completely their own and have complete privacy on their big day. We have said many a time that if were weren’t already married then this would definitely be where we would do it! So when it came to deciding where to do our very first shoot for Love Bridal Boutique, it was a bit of a no-brainer really.

Something which I hope comes across to anyone that ever speaks to either Jonny or I, is how important our wedding ‘friends’ are to us. So, it was extremely important to us to involve as many of them as we could at this first shoot. In particular, Jonny, has built great relationships with a fabulous group of wedding photographers over the past few years so we decided what better than to involve them at this shoot too! You can find full imagery from all the photographers who attended the shoot on English Wedding Blog and I will also be featuring my faves from ‘The Best of the North-West’ here on the blog over the coming weeks. We were also delighted to get our very good friends and amazing florists Jane and Jason Thompson from Flower Design involved and they provided gorgeous bouquets for us to use. They truly are the best in their field and Jonny and I were so proud to have them as our florists when we got married too (they’re so good that even our male guests on the day were commenting on our flowers – how amazing is that!!)

So, our big shoot day finally arrived and preparations were soon underway to dress the Lodge and to get our gorgeous girls Sarah, Lizzie, Hannah and Ella into hair and make-up…

Thanks so much to everyone involved in the shoot, it was such a great day and a great opportunity to show everybody what Love Bridal Boutique is all about and for us to start exactly as we mean to go on!

After these last few weeks, we’re slowly coming back down to earth but it’s been the best experience ever so thanks to everyone who has contributed in any way and supported us so much along the way.

Lots of Love,

Emma (and Jonny too of course!)

Big thanks to all the wedding suppliers involved in the shoot:
