Hello! Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend!
It’s been a busy one here at the boutique with a jam packed Saturday diary and we also got chance to fill our Valentine’s window with lots of lovely hanging hearts – here’s a little pic for you to see! I’ll be adding even more hearts to it this week – more is definitely more sometimes!
Last weekend, I had the chance to wander down to the Tatton Wedding Show to see what all the fuss was about, and what a fab show that was. The catwalk show was great with some stunning dresses from lots of other Cheshire boutiques including the fab Seventh Heaven in Congleton owned by the very lovely Helen, and there were some pretty hilarious routines from the male models showing off groomswear… for those of you who managed to see it you’ll know what I mean! Let’s just say I really didn’t expect ‘Gangnam Style’ to feature on the catwalk but it did and it was great!
We’ve had a very busy wedding fayre filled start to 2013 too, we were on the catwalk at one of Manchester’s exclusive 5 star hotels, The Lowry, at the start of January and then at Quarry Bank Mill a couple of weekends ago (separate blog post coming soon). Here’s some pics from the catwalk at The Lowry and also in true Jonny Draper style, we even managed to squeeze in a mini shoot in The Lowry itself and outside (much to the girls’ surprise (horror) as it was soooo cold but such a beautiful sunny day so it would have been a shame to waste it!)
We arrived super early and got ourselves all organised backstage as we were on a mission to get the girls changed in record time backstage during the show (a major challenge for any bridal catwalk show!) The ‘Dream Team’ were all in action – the fab Paisley from Macleod Bradley doing some amazing hair styling, Gemma Hallowell make-up artist extraordinaire and our fab dress change-over team Betty, Jonny’s mum Chris and also Helen (from Macleod Bradley too!) Not to mention my wonderful sister Lisa who represented LOVE on our stand and spoke to lots of brides-to-be and booked them in for appointments.
Here’s our lovely girls – Ailsa, Sarah, Lizzie and Becky in action on the catwalk… starting with Ailsa in the fabulous ‘Monaco’ gown by Heritage Bridal.
And here’s Becky in ‘Hollywood’ also by Heritage Bridal…
Lizzie wearing ‘Wild Angels’ by Terry Fox…
Sarah wearing ‘Victorian Lace’ by Terry Fox…
Ailsa wearing ‘Rubens’ by IR de Bundo from Raimon Bundo
And here’s (clockwise) ‘Antonella’ by Intuzuri, ‘Clematis’ by Mia Mia Bridal (as featured in the brand new edition of Brides), ‘Hawaii’ by Heritage Bridal, the back view of ‘Hawaii’ by Heritage Bridal, the back of ‘Clematis’ by Mia Mia Bridal and once again the full front view of ‘Clematis’.
And the finale sees the behind the scenes team coming on stage!
Me and our beautiful models! I dread to think what made us chuckle so much ;o)
Then Jonny took the girls off to get some shots in our fab surroundings!
And then off outdoors… here’s Sarah wearing ‘Diana’ by Raimon Bundo!
And Becky wearing ‘Edelweiss’ by Mia Mia Bridal…
And here’s the lovely Ailsa wearing 50’s inspired ‘Tamara’ by Mia Mia Bridal…
Lizzie wears ‘Da Vinci’ by IR de Bundo…
And the girls together looking fierce!
Let the giggles begin!
We’re so lucky to have found such a fab team in our LOVE models, who are great fun to be around and we really look forward to seeing them at every show we do, with the added bonus that they show off our dresses so beautifully! Thanks ladies – love you lots xxx
Thanks so much to everyone involved in the show, on stage and behind the scenes! A special mention to our very good friend and gorgeous model Ailsa Baker, choreographer extraordinaire, who arranged the whole catwalk show and made us look uber slick and organised! Also to my lovely Jonny for taking these fab pics!
Hope you enjoyed the pics and our pretty dresses too.
Lots of love,
♥ Emma ♥
